About Privo
Privo is a simple link shortener that doesn't track you. No account needed, no click analytics, no ads. Paste a link, get a short one, share it.
How it works
- Paste a link on the home page, and optionally choose your own shortcode.
- We read the page's public details (its title, description, and preview image) so the short link looks like the page it points to when you share it.
- Share your short link, for example
privo.fyi/44hf4. - Visitors see a quick safety check that shows exactly where the link goes, then continue to the destination.
What makes it different
No click analytics, no fingerprinting, no tracking cookies. A short link is just a redirect.
Before anyone is redirected, they see the full destination and can proceed or report the link.
Short links carry the destination's title, description, and image, so previews in social and messaging apps look right.
Everything runs on Cloudflare's edge network, which keeps Privo fast and reliable.
Use the safety check on your own site
Any website can send its visitors through Privo's safety page without creating a short
link. Link to privo.fyi/p/stop with these parameters:

| viaPrivo | Set to false when linking directly. |
| sourceSiteName | Your site's name, shown to the visitor. |

If any of the required parameters is missing or invalid, the page explains what's wrong and doesn't redirect anyone.
Your privacy
We store the link you submit, its destination, and the destination's public preview details. We don't store your IP address, and we don't record who opens a link. Read the full details in our Privacy Policy.
